At least I tried.

Homemade. Baked Good?

It was good actually.
It just didn't turn out as expected.
Perhaps this is a reminder to me that simpler is better.  What the heck, I went for it.  Adding Peanut Butter to ANYTHING chocolate is usually a good idea.  Just not this time.  The batter was too thin and the chips just sunk to the bottom of the cake pan as opposed to being stuck in the middle of the batter. (think brownies, think cookies...)

Whatever.  I tried,  I made the attempt,  from scratch, at home, sans cake mix box.

I did redeem myself and try again.  This time simpler.  Old fashioned chocolate cake with chocolate icing.  Simple, classic, and delicious  if I might say so myself.

I'm reminded my by apparent failure in peanut butter ecstacy that it's not about excess, but the simple joy in eventual success.  Despite the time spent trying.

Take that Betty.
