I won't do it again.
I will not drink that much,
fall off the stool,
carried out of the bar.

I'm in purgatory.
Somewhere between last night
and today.

Cotton ball tongue.
Brain as foggy as a fairy tale swamp.
Shoes on in bed.
Body aching with bruises soon to form.

Never again.
I'm getting too old for this.
I used to be able to hang,
Now I'm just hung over.

Eyes in the mirror,
heavy and dark.
Never again.
I'll learn my lesson.

Stumble around,
try to eat toast,
enter the world,
check my email.
